It gives me immense pleasure to extend my warmest greetings on the Diamond Jubilee Mopin Festival Celebration, Itanagar 2026. Mopin embodies our spirit of community bonding and stands as a timeless testament to our rich heritage. This souvenir, “AI-AGAM”, captures the very essence of that journey.

I am deeply humbled by the faith the Galo community has reposed in me by entrusting me with the presidency for a second time. Looking back to 2014, I must admit a sense of regret; my intense political commitments at the time often diverted my focus, and I feel I did not contribute as much as the community deserved. Today, I stand before you with a renewed heart, viewing this Diamond Jubilee as my opportunity to serve our culture with the dedication it has always merited.

Innovation is key to our survival. This year, we introduced Miss Mopin (Moopin Tanvw) to protect and promote our dying Galo language. Inspired by how K-Pop has globalized Korean culture, we are using glamour to make our language vibrant for the youth. Our winner will serve as a Brand Ambassador for the Galo Language. This initiative would have remained a mere dream without the generous support of our Sponsors, to whom I am profoundly grateful for believing in this vision.

Furthermore, on 6th April 2026, we are taking a path-breaking step by hosting a luncheon at the Mopin Solung Ground for our Galo daughters and their spouses who have married outside the community. We believe the bond of culture transcends all boundaries.

I wish to express my deepest gratitude to the Mopin Preservation Society, Itanagar (MPSI) for their guidance and to every member of the Poopvr Gurbv, particularly the HIP TAGWV POOPVR GURBV. A special mention must go to Er. Pinge Doji, General Secretary, whose tireless dedication has been the backbone of this mega-event.
